Exploring Tesla robotaxi fleet opportunities, including Cybercab, to bring greater freedom of movement to communities across Iowa.
“Because access to independent transportation is access to freedom.”
Passage immediately preceding the quotation above, from Jonathan Morrison’s prepared remarks.“We’re looking to support innovation because automated driving systems hold incredible potential promise, unlocking mobility options for senior citizens, people with disabilities, and others who are unable to or don’t want to drive for a variety of reasons—because they’ve been drinking or maybe just because they’ve had a bad day and a long flight and they just don’t want to talk to a stranger on their ride home.
Importantly, this technology has the potential to enable full participation in our society and economy for the many left behind due to an inability to drive.”
Exploring connections between classes, housing, work, and the places students gather.
Considering everyday trips for patients, visitors, and people working in healthcare.
Evaluating mobility options for older adults and people who do not drive.
Planning for Des Moines, the Iowa City–Cedar Rapids corridor, and opportunities across Iowa.
Corridor Mobility Group LLC is an Iowa-based company working to bring the next generation of mobility to communities across Iowa.
We are evaluating opportunities to develop autonomous passenger fleets and supporting infrastructure, including potential participation in Tesla’s robotaxi ecosystem and Cybercab ownership and operations. Our planning encompasses Des Moines, the Iowa City–Cedar Rapids corridor, and additional Iowa communities where demand and operating conditions support expansion.
Corridor Mobility Group is exploring how autonomous transportation can offer Iowans a convenient, dependable way to get where life takes them—from campus and work to appointments, shopping, and time with friends and family. Greater freedom of movement will mean more choices for everyday travel and greater independence for older adults, people with disabilities, and others who cannot drive or lack reliable transportation—opening more opportunities to participate fully in community life. Affordability, accessibility, and a positive passenger experience will guide our planning.
We are modeling reference cases to evaluate the potential of a substantial fleet purchase, with scale and timing determined by demand, commercial terms, and operating readiness.
Corridor Mobility Group is in the planning and evaluation stage. Passenger service is not yet available.
